Fee Calculators
Reverb Fee Calculator
See what a Reverb sale actually pays out — the 5% selling fee and payment processing fee, itemized down to your true payout.
Standard sellers pay 5% selling fee (min $0.50, max $500) plus 3.19% + $0.49 payment processing, on item price plus shipping.
How this is calculated
Every Reverb sale carries two fees, both assessed on the total sale amount — item price plus shipping. The selling fee is a flat 5%, with a $0.50 minimum and a $500 maximum (capped once the sale amount reaches $10,000). The payment processing fee is 3.19% + $0.49 for standard sellers, or 2.99% + $0.49 for Reverb Preferred Sellers — a status Reverb grants based on sales history and performance rather than something you sign up for directly.
Listing an item on Reverb is always free; these fees are only charged once an item sells, deducted directly from your payout.
True payout is order total minus the selling fee and the payment processing fee.

Scope & limitations
Scoped to US sellers using Reverb Payments. Not modeled: the 1% cross-border processing fee that applies when the buyer's and seller's bank accounts are in different countries, the 2.5% currency-conversion fee for listing in a different currency than your payout currency, Bump Fees (paid promotion), the cost of shipping labels purchased through Reverb, and applicable sales tax as part of the payment processing fee base (Reverb's own policy includes tax in that base, but — like every other calculator on this site — tax is excluded here since it varies by buyer jurisdiction and passes through rather than costing the seller anything). Treat this as a fee-stack estimate, not a final payout statement.

Frequently asked questions
Is Reverb's selling fee really just 5%?
Yes, that part is flat: 5% of the total sale amount (item price plus shipping), with a $0.50 minimum and a $500 maximum fee (capped once the sale amount hits $10,000). On top of that, Reverb also charges a separate payment processing fee on every sale — the two combined are what actually come out of your payout.
What's the payment processing fee on top of the selling fee?
3.19% plus $0.49 per transaction for standard sellers, or 2.99% plus $0.49 for Reverb Preferred Sellers. Combined with the 5% selling fee, that puts standard sellers at 8.19% + $0.49 total fees, and Preferred Sellers at 7.99% + $0.49.
Does the fee apply to shipping, or just the item price?
Both. Reverb's own Help Center states the selling fee is "assessed off of the total sale amount (including shipping)," and the payment processing fee is calculated on the full order amount too.
How do I become a Reverb Preferred Seller?
Reverb sets Preferred Seller status based on your sales history and performance on the platform; it isn't something you opt into directly. This calculator lets you toggle between the two tiers so you can compare your payout either way.
