Vinted Fee Calculator

Type a price and see what you keep on Vinted and what the buyer pays with the Vinted fee on top. Figures come from Vinted’s own price lists.

Informational only, not professional advice. This tool shows Vinted’s published fees for private sellers; it does not replace your Vinted balance or a qualified accountant’s advice.
Where you sell

Vinted takes nothing from the seller. The buyer pays a Vinted fee on top of your price at checkout, usually 5% + $0.70, and postage is a prepaid label the buyer also pays for.

Item price$40.00
Vinted selling fee (0%)−$0.00
You keep$40.00 (100%)

In plain terms: that is what reaches you after this platform’s fees. What the item cost you to buy or make is not in it — subtract that to get your actual profit.

What the buyer sees

Your price$40.00
Vinted fee (5% + $0.70)+$2.70
Buyer pays (before postage)$42.70

Vinted calls this the usual fee; it can vary by item, order value and bundles. The exact fee shows at checkout.

How this is calculated

Vinted selling fee is 0%. A private seller is paid the full item price; Vinted’s help centre confirms there are no selling fees, and that renaming the Buyer Protection fee to the Vinted fee changed nothing about who pays it.

Vinted fee is what the buyer pays on top of your price. Vinted publishes it as a usual figure, not a formula: 5% + $0.70 in the US, 5% + €0.70 in the eurozone, and 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80 in the UK. It varies with the item, the order value, and whether the order is a bundle, so this tool shows the UK figure as a range and the others as the usual rate.

Postage is left out on purpose. The buyer picks and pays for a prepaid label at checkout, so shipping money never passes through the seller.

You keep is therefore the item price itself, before what the item cost you and before any Item Bump or Showcase promotion you chose to buy.

Scope & limitations

Private sellers in the US, UK and eurozone only. Not modeled: Vinted Pro business accounts (Buyer Protection Pro has no published fee table), the exact per-order fee Vinted computes at checkout, Item Bump and Showcase promotion prices (shown only at purchase), the optional item verification service, bundles, and other markets such as Poland or Lithuania. Treat the buyer’s total as a close estimate, not a receipt.

Frequently asked questions

Does Vinted charge sellers a fee?

No. A private seller receives the full item price. Vinted's help centre states plainly that there are still no selling fees; the platform earns its money from the Vinted fee the buyer pays at checkout. Optional promotions like Item Bump cost extra, but only if you buy them.

What is the Vinted fee (formerly the Buyer Protection fee)?

A mandatory fee the buyer pays on top of your price on every "Buy now" order. Vinted's US and French price lists put it at usually 5% + $0.70 / €0.70; the UK price list gives a range of 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80. Vinted renamed it from "Buyer Protection fee" to "Vinted fee" without changing how it is calculated.

Why does the buyer's fee matter if I don't pay it?

Because the buyer compares your total, not your price. A $40 listing costs the buyer about $42.70 on Vinted, while the same item on a platform that charges the seller shows the buyer $40 but leaves you less. This tool shows both sides so you can price against other apps on the number each party actually sees.

Does this cover Vinted Pro business sellers?

No. Buyers from Vinted Pro sellers pay a separate Buyer Protection Pro fee and Vinted has not published a fee table for it, so Pro accounts are out of scope. Postage is also excluded: on Vinted the buyer pays for a prepaid label at checkout, so no shipping money passes through the seller.
